Over 120 brave cyclists took on the legendary Paterberg once again to raise money for Bike To Close The Gap, i.e. the digital gap in the fourth world.

Close The Gap collects money and PCs which it then refurbishes. PC Solidarity in turn distributes those PCs to aid organisations in the fourth world. The 124 cyclists from the participating IT companies that sponsored the event, braved a strong wind to raise €96,750 in nearly 2,300 laps in the end, just below the record amount raised last year.

Philip Du Bois and Olivier vanden Eynde solemnly handed trophies to the man and woman who completed the most laps. No fewer than four participants completed 31 laps this year, of who Bert De Bisschop from Worldline clocking the fastest time among them with an average speed of 27.91 km/h.  Marian Vermote from Worldline achieved no fewer than 22 laps. The four-member team of DNS Belgium completed 77 laps together.

DNS Belgium is the main sponsor of this event.
