Original article (November 2018):

Contacted by dnsbenelux.com who pushes you to register the same domain name as the .be you already hold, but with another extension (e.g. .info, .com, .eu etcetera)? We advise you to be vigilant.

dnsbenelux.com

Various .be registrants recently informed us that they were contacted by phone and e-mail by dnsbenelux.com that urged them to register an additional domain name. This party pretended someone’s interested in registering their domain name with another extension. The solution they propose is to register the domain name yourself with the other extension.

We advise to refuse this proposal

When you are interested in a .com, .info, .eu or other variant of your .be domain name, you should contact your registrar.
